Bad Taste Society is a creative collaboration between couple Sarah M Holm and Cipriano Montes. What started as a collection of oddities and records is currently growing into a business that combines all of our talents and passions. We are based in Minneapolis, MN, USA.

Coming from a background in fashion, art, and leatherworking, Sarah has been running her own business since 2012 and working in vintage clothing.

With a passion for music and bicycling, Cipriano has been a fixture at live music shows and on the streets of downtown Minneapolis, where he works as a bike messenger.

For years, we talked about having a little shop that sold all of the things we love… records, oddities, art, leather, and vintage. A couple of years ago, Cip was diagnosed with cancer and fought hard through treatment. Once he was well, we decided NOW was as good a time as any to start working toward our dream.

This collaboration started with our first art show in 2023 and has been going strong since. We hope to open our little shop and share it with a community of folks with taste as bad as ours. As we work towards that goal, we’re making art from things discarded and dead, found and revived. We’re learning new art forms and bringing them into the mix.
